This is an almost three dimensional piece. First I took a photo of the flowers in the vase shown, on a red tablecloth. Then I pressed them for weeks in newspaper under weight. Then I placed them on a deep canvas and covered them in clear acrylic and green-gold acrylic paint. I again allowed weeks for the acrylic medium to dry. Then I made a digital copy of the photo on transfer paper. The transfer paper in white turns clear, and the colored portions transluscent with an acrylic application. The result is a photo of the flowers with the original flowers, now pressed as the background. Available on Etsy. Click on the main photo to purchase.
