A beautiful album of Portuguese Fado songs. Orchestration is performed by the Shegundo Galarza Orchestra with Portuguese Guitar by Jorge Fontes. Vocals on each of the twelve tracks is performed by a different Portuguese singer: Maria da Fe, Manuel Fernandes, Carlos Meneses, Ada de Castro, Tony de Matos, Mirene Cardinalli, Alice Maria, Saudade dos Santos, Fernanda Pinto, Ana Hortense, Francisco Martinho, and Manuel de Almeida.. The album features fascinating back notes on the origins and meaning of Fado in the Portuguese culture. The music is Latin, but different from Flamenco, or other styles from the Iberian peninsula.  Very hard to find. 
The exact date of release is not known. However imbd has a bio on Shegundo Galarza, who was most active in late 50's and early 60's. The album would also indicate that time frame.

The Doors final album with Jim Morrison. The album itself is not rare. It has been reissued on both vinyl and CD several times. 
What makes this rare is 1) it is an initial release copy. And even more so: it is a Radio Station Copy making it very rare.
The cover is at first glance, not noteworthy. However, a couple of things do show up. For one, it has rounded corners. Look around at other sales, and they likely have standard square corners. Two, it has a sticker on the front that says it contains the hit single L.ove Her Madly.  It also has a punch in top right corner. A negative aspect perhaps. There is also the cellophane window with the band. The letters on L.A. Woman are raised. 
The inside jacket has the controversial telephone pole with Morrison crucifixion scene.
Then, there is the vinyl and label. The white label, that says Radio Station Copy. The matrix on side 1 is A-2 CSM.
The sound from this album is destinctive. Despite the somewhat worn cover, the vinyl itself is NM and shows little sign of play.  A rare collectible.

To Life, To Death My Only Desire Is To Love You.
That is the title of this disc that come from the Yucatan area of Mexico. So far, I have not found this listed elsewhere.
There are those who do not understand listening to music sung in a foreign language. I understand it, but do not agree with it. While I find meaning in lyrics, there is a deeper understanding that transcends lyrics. I find it in music such as this.
The songs are nice vocals by two talented musicians. This is not a back-woods production. The pair are talented, and production values are fairly high. This is not Mariachi, either. Definitely Mexican, but closer to Spanish style. Straight guitar and harmonies. 
Made by Discos Jagua de Yucatan. The cover is signed by Carlos Medina and, one would guess his wife, Eugenia R. de Medina. Dated March 27, 1966.

The Lancer's had their beginnings in the early 1950's. They had a brief start towards stardom when they had a hit song with Teresa Brewer in that time frame. 
Their first recordings were on Coral Records, though I found few LP's attributed to them. There were quite a number of singles releases. According to the bio on the back of this LP, they had also appeared on variety shows on television including the Steve Allen Show, the Red Skelton Show, and the Tennessee Ernie Ford Show. 
This is a live recording (or as the record says "an  on-the-spot recording" of their Harrah's act at Reno. It sounds like a Reno nightclub act from the 60's should sound - somewhat kitsch and lots of show. A definite period piece that will bring listeners to an era of glitter and fun.  CODA Records C-101

Enzo is a singer, originally from Italy, who performed at Woody's Wharf restaurant in Newport Beach, California. The album is undated, but would guess this is late 60's fare. It states that he stayed here after a cruise ship he performed on sank in 1966. The recording was made at United Audio Recording Studio in Santa Ana, CA.  This is a pleasant listen. I personally enjoy his mix of Italian and English, sometimes in the same song. As a bonus, his signature is on the label. 
The songs are mostly period pop standards, such as "Goin' Out Of My Head" "I Left My Heart In San Francisco", "What Now My Love" and others. Some of them were Italian pop that made the charts in the U.S. ( Volare;  Al-Di-La, for example). 
There are some intermittent pops on the album. The vinyl appears to be played, but in good shape, so some of this may be in the pressing.
This will be a treasure to someone who remembers his performance, or to someone who collects small local performances. The photo provides a link to our Gemm site for purchase option.

Three very hard to find albums featuring singers from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Exact date of each album is not known though they are probably from the late 1960's. They are all in VG+ condition - mostly very nice with some pops or noise. The album covers are also very nice ranging from NM to VG+.
